Trunk-Or-TreatThis is a fun and free event for people of all ages. Join us at the Chick-Fil-A in Sandy located at 10090 South State Street.We will have plenty of candy, games, and give-a-ways for the whole family. Dress up in your favorite costumes and move from one decorated car to the next. YOUTH MINISTRYWe have a Sunday morning bible study from 10:00 - 10:45 and Wednesday night small group bible study at 7:00pm. This allows the students to have fun and fellowship but with the Bible being the FOCUS. We do various activities and service projects to help prepare our students to be able to serve God and participate with His people.

SINGLESThe Singels meet every Sunday morning at 10am. This is an enviroment where single adults come together and build authentic friendships and get connected. We believe that sustained life-change happens best in the context of shared community. Here people study God's Word together and discuss the issues and challenges of life. SMALL GROUPSMountain Side hosts several small groups throughout the Salt Lake Valley. The goal of our Small Groups is to provide everyone the opportunity to fellowship and discuss aspects of Gods Word in an intimate setting. This setting helps each person feel comfortable in sharing their thoughts and feelings, and allows them to really get to know the others in their small groups. Building relationships, both inside the group and inside the church as a whole, is what results. MOPS MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers. MOPS International exists to meet the needs of every mom - urban, suburban and rural moms, stay-at-home and working moms, teen, single and married moms - moms with different lifestyles who all share a similar desire to be the very best moms they can be! MOPS recognizes that the years from infancy through kindergarten are foundational in a mother-child relationship and are filled with unique needs.MOPS helps moms through relationships established in the context of local groups that provide a caring atmosphere for today's mother of young children. MOPS also encourages and supports moms through resources such as books, this Web site and the MOPS International Membership. CHILDRENS MINISTRYChildren are important at Mountain Side. We have a large group of dedicated volunteers who ensure that children are taught the Word of God, and have fun too. For Sunday School from 10:00 - 10:45, Pre-schoolers through sixth grade are divided into age appropriate classes. Each class is designed to help children learn in an environment that best suits them. In Sunday morning worship from 11:00 - 12:15, Elevate currriculum is used as an exciting, interactive way to teach the Word of God to our children. A nursery is available for babies and toddlers, as well.
Matt grew up in Wyoming, and went to High School in Mississippi where he felt the call of God on his life for ministry. He attended Baptist Bible College from May 2003 – December 2007. He met his wife Mandy while attending college there and they were married in June of 2006. God placed a burden on their hearts for the youth of the Salt Lake Area. Matt arrived as the Student Pastor of Mountain Side in January of 2008. Matt and Mandy are excited about being able to lead students closer to Christ and into a dedicated relationship with Him.
Pastor Matt grew up in the Dallas area. After going to college in Dallas he had the call of going into the ministry. He went to Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Mo. He Graduated in May 2002 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biblical Studies. He also met his wife Jamie at BBC who also is a graduate of BBC in 2002. They moved to Sandy in the summer of 2002 to become the Youth Pastor of Mountain Side. After 4 years in serving in this role the church called Pastor Matt to be the Senior Pastor of the church. Pastor Matt is excited about the opportunity the church has to spread the gospel of Christ in the Salt Lake Valley. "The goal of this church is to help people to Love God, Love Others, and Serve the World" Says Pastor Matt. "I want our church to be a place where people can receive love and be able to take that love back into our community to share."
BELIEFSMountain Side is a New Testament Church. We follow the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ as laid out in the New Testament of the Bible.We believe that -God came to earth as a Man in the person of Jesus Christ (John 1:1,14)He was born of a Virgin (Matt 1:22)He lived a Sinless life (Hebrews 4:15)He suffered and died for the sins of Mankind (1 Peter 2:24)He rose again on the third day, and sits at the right hand of the Father(Romans 8:34)That He is the only way for Man to come to the Father (John 14:6)We long to share the Good News Christ brought, that no matter your circumstances, He loves you enough to have suffered and died for you, so that you can spend eternity with him. Why does the church do these things? We need to be defined not by our programs, but by our purpose and allow everything that we do to flow from that.
